Hello people,

I'm having big problem. My PC shuts dowm while playing good games like Aion Online which uses alot of resources, PC shuts down randomly, sometimes in 5 minutes sometimes after 1hr. PC just shuts down without any error or smth, in event viewer it shows kernel-power critical error.

Tested Rams with memtest everything OK, tested temps with Everest CPU's temp are around 40-50C, graphic card 40-45C

Cleaned PC dusts still didn't helped.

I'm thinking it's my PSU problem, it's just 420W max.

And i think it was ok for my computer when i bought it 5 years ago. 1.5 year ago i bought new graphic card.
So i think my PSU can't get as much recourses as my system and Graphic card wants.

But one thing makes me worry, i was playing that game normally past year, had some BSOD but normally fixed after cleaning dusts.

Is it possible what PSU can get worse in 1 day, shouldn't it started right after i got new/better graphic card?

Hi - Yes, it's possible your PSU went bad. Not necessarily one day, what prob happened
is the caps(or another internal part) have been declining as they age.

It could be something else but I suspect it's the PSU.
What brand and model is it. Also, what brand & model
is your graphics card?

Tom

Hello Tom,

My PSU:
Cob King Switching Powe Supply Model: VP-420-5120 (P/PFC)
Low Noise Temperature Controller.

My Graphic Card: Asus EAH5670 series 1GB

By the way yesterday smelled and heard low smell and noise from my PSU, after that opened him to clean all the dusts inside him, IT WAS A LOT OF THEM. Today trying to turn on PC nothing happens just some lights like inthernet cabel and one light down on the motherboard working.

I could name the PC parts would u recommend me some PSU according to price and quality?
