Hello everyone,

i would like to ask your help to try to find the cause of a problem im having.

My PC just started randomly shutting itself down, and to power back on i need to turn the PSU switch off and on in the back of the PC.

I have some corsair logs from the corsair psu app.

The shutdowns are completly random, sometimes the pc stays on 2 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes its good for hours.

I can even game for a "long" time, hours, without shutting down.

I dont know how can i post the links for the CSV log files, or if they are in any way helpfull.

But from my small knowledge i would assume its a psu issue?

I tried chancing the power extension, power cord, havent tried anything else has i dont have the spare parts to swap anything.

Hello, neither. No new hardware and no overclocking.

When the PC started shutting down i actually underclocked the gpu and undervolted it Just a tad bit thinking it might be overheating

You should also check to ensure that all of the plugs from your PSU to your motherboard are firmly seated. My girlfriends PC was plagued for months with an issue where it would lose power seemingly at random, or refuse to power on for up to 30 minutes. Turns out that with my poor eyesight I did not fully seat the smaller of the two power cables to the motherboard. Those plugs are stiff, if your lighting is poor when you put your machine together, or your eyesight is poor (or both in my case!) you might think it's all the way on there, but make sure the clip is engaged.

Alternatively, this could be a sign of your motherboard failing. Check your Event log for anything critical and look into that. I had a mobo die because the USB chipset was shorting out.

Thanks I am on vacation until monday but first thing ill try Will do is take everything apart and clean then il put it back testing one by one.

Hello again guys I have been testing my pc and I have come to something, I breadboarded my pc. And when I turn it on everything is fine but the moment I place a 1 stick of RAM the pc Just started booting and rebooting. Il bring a stick of RAM from work and test with it. But the weird thing is that all 4 stick of RAM in all 4 slots does this.

For good measure I even pluged my gpu without the RAM and it keeps running without rebooting so um guessing it is not PSU related

Just to clarify, the PC was off when you added the RAM right? RAM problems might be just one stick, or just one set of slots on the MOBO. If the MOBO has died, at least all you need is another MOBO and some thermal paste.

Yes of course I disconnected the PSU everytime I tested a new stick.

But I have an updste, only the 2 slots on the right side send the pc on a rebooting rampage, the 2 slots on the left side are working with every combination of sticks.

Só um guessing its the mobo...
