I built a pc from old parts, meaning I bought an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, an old PSU of mine, 4GB RAM and an old Mobo of mine (Gigabyte GA-41)

For some reason , it shuts down many times per day.I checked and the CPU temperature is between 85 and 95 Celsium degrees almost on idle.
Also, the CPU cooler I have has a broken pin and new thermal paste.

So what is the problem?
The Mobo?Should I check for broken capacitors?Other than that?
The PSU? 300W and old ?Could it be it?
The obvious, the cooler? I already ordered a new one. Will that solve the problem of shutdowns?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd take a wild guess and say the cooler is not doing a very good job, or you installed it incorrectly. In that case, do not repeat the same mistake with the new cooler.
