Question PC shuts down when both CPU and GPU usages are high

I was rendering using CPU and play games at the same time, then the PC shuts down and couldn't able to boot. I have to remove the power cable for a while. Both CPU and GPU temperate are fine, Do I need a PSU with a higher watts?
My components:
CPU: AMD threadripper 2950x
GPU: Nvidia 2080ti
PSU: Corsair platinum 850w

For a single GPU system, you don't seem to be pushing the PSU to that extent- the fact you're not able to reboot for a while points to thermal maybe VRM?

Using one cable (by using two connectors) or using two cables to power the gpu? Test with two if not already using this.

Not saying that temps can't be the problem,just another viewing angle.

Theres a guy on Anandtech forum who has lots of Threadripper boxes I'd ask him whether the 850W PSU is enough. His forum name is Markfw so make a post with @Markfw
