So initially i had this build:
Cpu: 4690k
Gpu: r 390
Psu: corsair cx750m

It was 2 years ago. My PC would shut off occasionally when playing intensive games. While CPU(35-70C) and GPU(40-78C) temps were fine under load. Then i upgraded my cpu to i7 7700k and obviously Motherboard from z97 to 270z, and GPU gtx 1060. Then all problem with PC randomly shutting down were gone. Recently i got Gtx 1080TI SC2 from Evga and the same problem with PC shutting off is back. While temps are again fine.(70-75C max under load). I am guessing its my Power Supply. Since r9 390 consumed so much power that my psu could not handle it. After upgrading to 1060 which consumes almost twice less power, psu was not failing. And again Gtx 1080ti with high power consumption.

Any suggestions where i can test my PSU?

Best thing to do is just replace the PSU with a quality unit before you lose your GPU etc.

The CX series is a budget PSU, not good for high end gaming rigs.

Here is a short list of quality units, 650W or 750W would be good.

Seasonic FOCUS Plus
Corsair RMX
EVGA G2 or G3
