Pc Shuts off and on every 5 seconds

Building a new pc. My last parts came in today. I built it correctly, I was in BIOS, trying to get my OS system on. I did something in BIOS (I don't remember what I did exactly) and I saved and exited, and now it's been doing this ever since. There is no CMOS jumper anyhere on my motherboard. I tried taking out my ram, and putting it back in. Same with poweer suppy and gpu. PLEASE HELP!!

Specs:

Intel pentium g4400
Mobo: Gigabyte h110m A
Gpu: Gigabyte nvidia gt 1030
Ram: 4gb of crucial ddr4 2400mhz c17
750w power supply
1 tb of wd blue

Oh yeah forgot to note, I already tried taking out the battery the mobo and holding the power button down for greatly over 30 seconds.

In your user manual, page 12 shows were the CMOS jumper is.

I looked at the manual, and it said to touch the CMOS pins with a screw driver. Did that, still doing the same thing, but now tha fans arent spinning

Question from michellechecking : "Cpu connector issue"

Okay so when I built my pc, it was working fine. I don't have an OS system on it yet, but I was in BIOS when I first built it. I changed something in BIOS and my pc turns on and off every 5 seconds, repeatedly. I was frustrated, coulndn't find out why. CMOS reset wouldn't help, taking out the battery didn't help either. I did a bit of unpluging and stuff and found out the cpu connector, not the fan but the cpu connector is the reason. I unplugged it and it stays on. Anyone know why? Please help me! Thank you

CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3.3ghz
GPU: Nvidia GT 1030
Power Supply: 750w
HDD: 1TB of WD Blue
Case: DIYPC Skyline 08w
RAM: 4gb of crucial DDR4 2400mhz

Normally a CMOS removal would reset the BIOS to defaults. But I've seen it not happen at times. Go back into BIOS and set the recommended defaults and reboot.

Then we can troubleshoot connector if the issue is still there.

[strike][/strike] I can't even get into BIOS, like I said my pc only stays on when the cou power connector is unplugged. And CMOS reset with jumper doesn't help

How did you do the CMOS reset?

Sometimes it requires you removing the CMOS then attempting cycle power through the system (aka remove the power cable and hit the power button a few times to it flushes out all power from the PSU). Then plug CMOS back in and try it again.

Also, have you tried to boot without the CMOS in?

As for the CPU power connector. Have you inspected it? Is there any burn power or electrical damage that you can see on it?

I've already tried all of what you said. I did some research, and people say it could be a short with the standoffs, so try running out of the case. Tried that, same exact thing. Should I call gigabite/new egg and ask for a refund? Could be a faulty mobo?

Right, but the problem is unless you adjusted voltage and fried something in the connector... nothing should have went wrong physically by simply making some changes in the bios.

If it's under warranty, then why not go ahead with the return if you still can't access the bios at this point.

You may also want to test the cpu or at least remove it and inspect it for issues.

There are no bent pins, i inspected the whole socket for like 3 minutes. I just bought a new psu, turning on and off again. I dont understand the problem

I built this computer fine, everything connected, but turns on and off every 5 seconds. Won't boot to BIOS, won't boot anything.
I originally had a 750w shark tech psu, i flipped the voltage to 230v and it stayed on but no mobo ports/gpu hdmi port not working. Ordered a new psu, evga 430w 80+ bronze. Same thing, turning on and off, and no voltage switch. If i unplug cpu connector, system stays on but can't see anything. I checked the mobo pins, none are bent. I checked for like 5 minutes, up close. Everything is plugged in correctly, so I don't understand the problem. If you could help me that'd be amazing, thank you

Yeah, you just fell victim to the "*7th Generation Intel CPU requires BIOS Upgrade". I've (and others) been through this. Your choices are to contact Gigabyte and get an RMA to ship the board back to them to upgrade the BIOS (it costs you to send it to them, they buy the freight back to you, they say 6-8 weeks), or you can put a 6th gen CPU in it, upgrade the BIOS, then reinstall your G4400. Sorry...

Seriously? Dang. I thought the pentium series was 6th gen.. Same with i3's. I5's 7th gen and. And i7's 8th gen? But thanks anyway. 4th time posting and got an actual answer
