This has been a problem for a long while. It came about i’d say a month ago and it was pretty random. My pc would turn off right after i turned it on, after messing around a bit tightening the cpu cooler managed to fix it. But the next day when i go to turn it on the issue comes back, but this time tightening the cpu doesn’t fix anything, i then take everything out, and rebuild the pc, it works… until like 2 minutes afterwards it doesn’t, reset the cmos, didn’t work. I figured it was either the mobo or psu, i swapped out the mobo for my old one that still works (gigabyte b450 d3sh) and it did not work. Now fast forward to today, I’ve gotten a new power supply (EVGA 550W GR 80+ Gold), at first the pc worked but then when i tried plugging in a usb it seemed to have shorted out or something. Turned off the pc, plugged everything in, then it had the same turning off problem, which i then tried tightening the cpu cooler which was admittedly not tightened all the way, and bam it worked again. Then after a good 3 hours of gaming and what not, the pc had just shut off randomly, there was a beep so I think it was an overheating issue, however the only thing that was hot in pc was the gpu, which i know it is not the gpus fault. And now here i am confused on what to do now, Pc turning off right after i turn it on, cpu cooler tightened all the way, everything plugged in all the way.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

How old is the PSU in your build? For both units.

EVGA 450W 80 Plus Bronze(Old psu)
Link to the unit?

EVGA 550W GR 80 Plus Gold(Current psu),

^ You sure it's not this? It's a GA, not a GR unit.

That isn't a good thing to read/experience. Might want to make sure all connections to the motherboard are secure.

Breadboard the system and try working with the discrete GPU in a lower slot. As for your Gigabyte motherboard, what's happened to it? If you can, work with two sticks of ram, no storage, the processor and...
