Hello.
I recently purchased a new Mainboard (M5A97 R2.0) with no onboard graphics along with new CPU (AMD FX 8350) and old graphics card (GTX 750 Ti). Put everything together, using the old RAM (Dynet DMT351E6CFR8C-H9N0, 2x 4 GB, DDR3 1333MHz according to the internet). Installed Win7 64 on an SSD and SSHD (same result on both)
and after I downloaded and installed Google Chrome, the PC crashed all the time (I did it multiple times along with multiple Win7 installations)
May not have been because of Chrome, but it really seems Chrome is one of the programs that crashes my PC (crashed once while unpacking a zip and once
while changing WIndows design). I installed chipset drivers, LAN, audio and USB 3.0 drivers. I did not install any graphics driver. It's not a heat issue,
I ran a CPU stress test for 1 hour without any problems (Task manager showed 100% CPU load and RAM level). I seperatly removed the two RAMs, ran memtest86+,
no errors on each of them. There is no shortcut with the tower or any other component with the board. I tried using another mouse/keyboard. I unplugged everything
unnecessary (even the intern USB3 connector). My board has a MemOK! button, which you are supposed to press when the LED near the RAM lights up on boot.
Since it did (indicating a RAM compability issue) i pressed that button according to the manual. There was an onscreen message that the RAM can now be used.
Strange thing is: This LED lights up every time I start the computer, no matter if I fixed it before. Now to the crash itself: The screen goes black, all fans
go out, the whole PC goes into standby (USBs still have current). You can't turn the PC back on before you haven't switched off the PSU for some seconds.
What can I do?
Any help is appreciated. Since english is not my mother thounge there may be some mistakes in my post.
greetings
