Hello there! I got an i5 2500k from someone, and thought I should pair it with a Gateway DT71 motherboard, 4GB of ram (ADATA) clocked at 1333MHz and a GeForce GT1030 OC edition.
So, I have two hard disks, an 80GB one from MAXTOR, and an 150GB from Hitachi, with a Spacer PSU with 450W. I had Windows 7 onto the Hitachi hard disk and the computer started to shut down at 30-40 minutes of usage. Someone thought me I should install Windows 10 on the MAXTOR hard disk, and that's exactly what I did, and the time increased from 30-40 mins of usage at around 2 hours.
I don't have any idea what do do, and I'm constantly trying to think of what's the problem. Some people told me it's the PSU, but that's impossible since the time increased by one hour and a half upon the change of the Windows. I gotta mention that the temperature of my CPU always stays at around 40 degrees, and the PC shuts down even if I keep it on idle onto the desktop. Oh yeah, and I have to mention that the date and hour resets when the PC shuts down.
Anticipated thanks for your reply!

It could be a faulty PSU, motherboard, RAM, an app or even malware.
Check the settings in Power management.
Try booting in safe mode to check if it happens around the same time to help isolate the issue.
Are you also monitoring your graphics card temperature? Check the fan.
Test the RAM with Memtest86+

Is either a PSU, Motherboard or RAM issue

Were you running Memtest86 or Memtest86+
Do you have only one stick of RAM? If you have more than one then run Memtest86+ with a stick of RAM.
