I have the following hardware:
Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 5
Intel i3 6100
Corsair DDR4 8 GB (1 x 8 GB)
Corsair VS550
Gigabyte 210 (1 GB GDDR3)

I have a UPS connected to my PC. When the power goes, then it runs smoothly on UPS power. But, when it again comes, my PC shuts down and starts automatically. This incident does not happen always, but frequently. I have seen that it is not temperature problem. I have also tested the SMPS with a GA-H61M-S1 Motherboard and it did not have any problems. Thinking of taking it to the Service Center but still asking for opinions if this can be resolved without going there.

First problem is your PSU,

Have you tried using a reliable/robust powersupply from a friend of similar wattage and seeing if the issue presents itself?

Second issue and possibly an accomplice, is the UPS tripping when it has to provide power to your PSU. What is the UPS' make and model? How about it's rated VA/output?

If it's yet under warranty, you'd best be served by showing the issue to the shop from which you bought it from so that it's replaced for being faulty.

Third issue, are you intending to drop in an i5-6600K later down the road? If not then you've overspent on your build since you can't overclock on the i3-6100 which is what the Z170 chipset was deigned for.

Thanks for answering. But I hope that the UPS and the PSU are not having any problems due to:
1. The motherboard used to display the same symptoms even when there was no UPS.
2. The PSU works fine and really fine on my H61-S1 from Gigabyte.

Also, I haven't got any chance to test my friend's PSU as none of my friends have any high-end PSU...(all the crappy iBall and intex).

And yeah, I have a plan to upgrade the Processor and sell my old one to my friend later.
