Hi.
Im having a problem with my pc. I had an old system that randomly crashing and restarting as if someone pulled the plug. It started to repeat it more frequently so i decided to buy new cpu, motherboard and rams.
I only kept my Gtx970 Asus strix gpu and psu xigmatec 650W silver.
I installed everything and launched system. Updated the drivers etc. Then i tried to lunch games, when i launched a game pc shut down as if the power is gone.
When i tried to restart the system the fans spin for half a second, and goes down, pc doesnt boot.
I replaced the gpu with my old Sapphire 4790, same thing.
When i wait a bit and reinstall everything pc sometimes starts normal. Then i launch a game in windowed mode, watching the temperture same time. It crashes in a couple minutes again while the temperature is at 65C.
I suspected overheating but 65C should be ok i guess? It shouldnt shot down at 65c as far as i know.
If it is the psu then why it goes for a while then shots down?
Cant be anything else as i bought them all new yesterday, all but gpu/psu and the ssd.
Another thing is when pc fails to boot (fans working for half a second then stopping), i unplug the pci power cables off the gpu, then pc starts normally.
If i remove gpu and plug the onboard gpu, everthing is fine.
Is this about the Psu? If so why is everthing ok without the gpu..
Specs;
Intel I7 7700
Asus Strix gtx970
Hyprx Predator 8gb 3000mhz
Asus b250f gaming motherboard
Xigmatec 650w silver
Sorry for long post/bad language.
