When I turn a game on, the game will run for about 1 minute and the computer will turn off on its own (the screen will turn black and the light on my keyboard will freeze). When I bought my pc I didn't have that problem but fast forward 6-10 months later here I am. I have checked my CPU and GPU temps while gaming (CPU 50-60 and GPU 65-70). I have replaced the CPU thermal paste and the GPU paste as well as the thermal pads in my GPU. What I have done now in order to prevent my pc from shutting is to downclock the GPU.

my specs are:
i5 3470
Amd rx 560 2GB
450w power supply
8 Gb of rm (2x2gb and 1x4gb)
win 10 pro

Solution

Then first thing would be to get a good quality power supply in the system. Corsair RXM models are good for a lower priced one, I would get a 550 watt one or higher for a gaming setup. If you are OK with doing rebates, the Seasonic M12II models have good rebates that lower the price for them https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817151093 $35 after rebate is a great deal here.

Your RAM is also not configured in the best way, you...
Newer windows system don t show blue screen that contain lot of information about problem that cause this shutdown. I believe it s relate to graphic card driver. You didn t mention is this problem related to one PC game or all games. Try enable blue screen ....

1. Press the Win+R keys to open Run, type SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe, and click/tap on OK to open advanced System Properties.

2. Click/tap on the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.

3. Check (enable - default) or uncheck (disable) the Automatically restart box under System failure for what you want, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)

and the force this situation (play game and record code and what couse this problem)

Hope this helped.

It doesn't have a brand name on it

This happens to all games, unfortunately. I have tried 3-5 different drivers but the same thing happens. I have the blue screen enabled but the thing is that shutting down I mean that the monitor tells me that there are no video sources.
I can confirm that the GPU shuts off and not the other components because when this happens all the fans keep spinning except for the GPU fan. Hope this makes sense.

Your RAM is also not configured in the best way, you should get another 4 GB stick so the system runs in dual channel mode properly.

Once you have a stable power supply you can go from there. The video card may still be faulty, but without a good power supply you are just going to be risking damaging a new one anyway.

Solution

Ok so i didn't buy a new power supply but i got my friends (he aactualy bought a new one and i got his old functional). It is a 980 watt platinum Seagate. The same thing happens when i try to play any game (even roblox).

Probably Seasonic not Seagate. So if same thing happens with a better power supply, need to check on the video card, that is likely the issue. RX560 should be in warranty though, did you contact the vendor?
