I've made a thread about this before about why I was getting less performance after upgrading, you can check out my previous thread here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3458691/4690k-5ghz-outperforming-4770k-5ghz-benchmarks.html

I thought that I had fixed it only to come back and retest it again and get the same performance loss I got before. why is this happening??? on passmark its gives me a list of false statistics about my RAM:

whereas CPU-Z shows stats about my ram that should be correct:

and this is the score i keep getting!:

in my bios I have XMP enabled and set to profile 1 (2400mhz) so I don't know why I keep getting lower scores, help much appreciated

okay so after hours of tweaking I've finally found what was causing my ram to run slow. in my BIOS I have this memory option called "Memory Try it!" and enabled it and tried 2400, CL11 Performance and 2400, CL11 Compatibility and disabled it and just ran on XMP only. when disabled on PassMark I only got around 2040-2050 and when I enabled CL11 Performance it was almost exactly the same as with memory try it disabled so no difference there.

then once I set it to CL11 Compatibility I saw a HUGE increase in ram performance on the same benchmark and got 3241! first test! that's a 47% INCREASE in performance just by setting my memory try it to CL11 Compatibility!!!, if you have a MSI BIOS for intel CPU's I extremely recommend you to try...

Okay so be clear, you have 4 RAM slots, filled with 16GB each, with a total of 64GB RAM (pretty overkill if i want to be honest), but the pc says it is 4GB each with a total of 16GB?

edit: i see at the top PNG's that the RAM are 4 GB each, with a total of 16GB
