PC slow after installing new GPU

So I just got a new gtx 1050 ti, and after I did everything, placed it in, installed latest drivers, I noticed my pc is slower. Even moving a window around with my mouse it's a bit laggy. Btw I'm a real newbie when it comes to pc building. I was thinking maybe it was because of my psu which has 250W max and wondering maybe that's why, but I don't wanna buy a new one just to be wrong.

I suggest you get into safemode after downloading DDU, remove drivers, reboot and reinstall a fresh copy and try again

already did it with safe mode, still slow

What is model manufacturer/name for your PSU?
Is your monitor connected to graphics card or video output on motherboard?

you don't need ddu to uninstall drivers. it can be done in windows using control panel and device manager and a reboot.

The 1050ti only draws 75w max so you should be ok with power. Use gpuz and make sure it is running at gen3 . Also check bios and make sure your pci slot 16 is gen3 enabled.

"PSU 250W" - doesn't really tell a lot. You have to check the specs of the PSU.
It might be some low quality unit barely able to provide 100W.
So you can't really be sure, it's ok.

Your cpu has a gpu on it. Make sure the AMD gpu is disabled and your Nvidia Gpu is enabled along with Nvidia drivers installed for the Nvidia card. Also enable high performance in advanced power settings in Win.
