PC slowdown after upgrading Mobo, CPU, and RAM.

I recently upgraded my Motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I went from an AMD 6300 CPU and a cheap Mobo to an Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha that my friend gave me, along with his i5 6600k CPU OC'd to 4.4 GHz. I'm using 8 GB of Hyper X RAM at 2400 MHz. Ever since the upgrade I have had unstable performance across the entirety of the PC. Random stutters everywhere and hanging where it shouldn't hang, and my game performance has been affected as well. My friend and I have tried installing all the drivers we think I need (I did it once already but nothing changed), but we aren't quite done checking out every driver. Nothing seems to be having a positive effect on performance so far. Intel's own driver updater seems to say I am up to date as it doesn't pull up any new drivers. I'm at a loss as to why this is happening.

At this point I'm considering doing a fresh install of Windows, but even then I'm not 100% sure if it would solve the issue. It probably wouldn't hurt though.
