I have never had any problems of freezing / crashing before, but when I plug in my USB Card Reader from Rocketek (https://www.amazon.ca/Reader-Rocketek-Memory-Speed-Windows/dp/B08CCVBL29), my computer slowly freezes. Any media stops playing, then file explorer doesn't show anything inside it and says "keep waiting". I can eventually open up task manager after waiting about 20 seconds, and when I restart file explorer, it doesn't open up again, leaving my task bar missing. At this point, my computer is unusable and I force restart it. This has happened yesterday, and just recently today.

I used to use this reader all the time with a different microSD.

How can I tell if this is an underlying issue, or the card reader? It usually happens as soon as I plug in the card reader. The card reader has a SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSD card in it.

Cheers

Solution
I have tried a new reader and haven't had any problems, but my windows explorer does feel slow. I don't know if I am being paranoid or not.

Please start a new thread about Windows feeling slow. Include system specs but no need to mention the card reader problem if you've solved that.
