Question PC soft freezes with GPU usage at -1% or 100%

Nov 9, 2017
I recently built a computer for my girlfriend, but we've been having trouble with it "soft freezing". I don' know if there's a better term for it, but basically, the computer will freeze, but you can still click things and use the mouse. Once it freezes, you can change windows and use the mouse without a problem, but when you try to close something, or open something new, there is no response. I asked her to keep the job list open at all times to see what happens with the hardware when it freezes, but once it's frozen, it won't update anymore. This is a picture of what it looked like the moment it froze. I've never seen -1% usage before, and I have no idea why it shows this.

Here are the specs:
GPU: GeForce RTX 2060
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (Wi-Fi)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz 32GB
Storage: 1TB SSD
PSU: NZXT C650, 650 watt

I've installed all the newest drivers, but it didn't make any difference. Any ideas to what might be causing it?
