These are the things I already tried:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled all related drivers.
- All updates for Win10 and system drivers have been installed.
- Tried a different set of speakers/cables and it did not help.
- Tried various sources of music online and .wav files and the static remains.
- Tried different power cords...did not help.
- Disconnected the PC and connected my old Dell to make sure it's not a power problem in my office, the sound out of the old PC did not have static.
- Took the battery backup out of the equations and it did not help.
- I hooked up the speakers to the rear audio output, the front headphone output and the audio output from my monitor that is connected via HDMI and the static remains.
- Tried changing the audio quality / frequency response and it did not help.
