Hello everyone,
In a month or two I will order a custom computer from pc specialist uk which will include a 290 as a graphics card. I wonder if anyone knows which one they have and if its a third party or whatever.

Solution
Yeah you need to talk to them bro.

And i see their graphics specification chart:

^1500 Mhz memory clock on r9 290? Max is 1300 Mhz on a Sapphire Tri-OC card:

Reference card has 1250 Mhz. So that info on their website is false and you should talk to them about it. But most likely it will be a reference card. These pre-built guys try to max out their profits in such ways. You could always alter the order in midst and buy a better separate card yourself & then install it.

If they end having a bad version of it I may buy one separate but the whole point of building it with them is
not taking the time to build it myself, mind you graphic cards are easy enough to install

I see what you mean, but installing a graphics card takes like 5 minutes.

Yeah bro. You need to first of all find out whether it's a reference card or not. Then after that, reorder the same rig without the card and see how much they're charging you then, so that you can calculate the price they're putting on that reference card.

I can bet they're ripping you off with that reference card and you can buy a much better card in the same R9 290 series from a renowned manufacturer like Gigabyte or Sapphire etc.

It's a high performance card, which will be your companion for a long time and other manufacturers are really making better versions of reference cards. Keeping noise, heat and performance superiority in mind.
