PC started freezing after I got a higher resolution monitor??

Hello,
About two years ago I built a pc that was supposed to be a starter machine for animation and video editing. Up until recently I had been using a 32" seiki tv as my main monitor running at a 1368x768. Decided it was time for an upgrade so I purchased a 27" sceptre 4k capable monitor now running everything at 3840x2160 30hz.

It ran fine before, (I got the new monitor yesterday) and now all of a sudden it starts freezing.

Im wondering if the problem is the graphics card not being able to run effectively at this new resolution, and I need to go ahead and upgrade that now or if it could be something else going wrong.

Specs:
CPU: Intel core i5-6600 3.3GHz Quad core
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA B150M-Ds3H Micro ATX LGA1151
Ram: Anarchy 16 GB(2 x8Gb) DDR4
Storage: PNY CS1311 120GB SSD
Hitachi 2TB HD
GPU: ASUS STRIX Radeon R7 370 Overclocked 4GB DDR5
PSU: Antec 450W ATX
And I'm running windows 10. I was watching a youtube at 1080 60fps video full screen, the sound started buzzing and it instantly froze if that helps.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thank you in advance!

Solution
Your GPU only supports DVI Max Resolution of 2560x1600. Try setting your monitor to this resolution. Also, driving a 4K monitor typically requires a high end graphics card. It's a lot of pixels to push. A GTX1080 or GTX1080Ti is used for 4K.
