I've been having a bunch of issues with my PC lately. The newest problem happened today.
I got a new SSD and installed it. When I plugged the computer back in after installing it turned on automatically (I never hit the power button). Then after a couple of seconds it turned off. If I press the power button after that nothing happens.
The computer is about 7 years old now and the PSU is about 3 years old.
I've been having other issues with it as well recently. In December I bought a new HDD and after installing the PC wouldn't boot. I reseated the GPU and RAM and that seemed to fix it. Then last month I re-applied thermal paste and after it would boot but with no video output. I reseated the RAM, CPU, and GPU and that seemed to fix the problem.
Things I've tried:
- Re-seating RAM and GPU
- I've checked the cables
- I've tried to boot without the new SSD plugged
Specs:
- AMD Phenom II X4 955
- Radeon 4580 HD
- ASUS M3A78-CM
- 550W Cooler Master PSU
- 8GB RAM
- NZXT Apollo Case
