Hi all

Today i started up The Division, after 10 minutes of gameplay, my PC shut down like all power was cut off. Now i immediately think of the PSU being faulty. I tried to unplug the power, leave it for 30 seconds, powering it up again, and the only thing that happens is that all fans spin and my LED on the motherboard lights up for a split second and then shuts down. So i tried changing out the PSU with my older one, and it still did exactly the same.
I tried with 1 ram stick, and i tried with everything else plugged out and only the CPU, RAM, PSU on, and still the same.

I still think that the motherboards faulty, but is there something i'm missing? Rather not waste days on sending it back to RMA and finding out it isn't the case.

Thanks

Specs:
i7-4790K
970 Nvidia GTX Zotac
8GB Kingston RAM
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 (MoBo is 6 months old)
XFX PRO 650w PSU

Yes, without GPU.
Reset CMOS - Yes.
CPU overheat, i couldn't know since it just shut down instantly. But that shouldn't be the case since it wont start up at all.
Yes, i've tried every single slot with my RAM.
And Yes, all cables has been tested unplugged and plugged.

Then the motherboard seems like the most likely candidate.

If you have spare parts to try then a different ram or CPU would not be a bad idea to check (and gives you better leverage on the motherboard RMA).
Since you have a decent power supply that is not going to just kill parts then it is most likely the motherboard just crapped out.

I did try other RAM's sticks as well, and it still didn't work. I wont be able to test if the CPU works, since my old one is a AMD and current is Intel. But i really can't see what could cause this issue other than the motherboard. I'm certain it's the motherboard, but i just need to be 100% sure and hear the communities thoughts before i do anything.
