PC Starts up then shuts down

I have a my own PC that I built that recently started exhibition the problem I stated. It would boot up then shut down. I figured it was the motherboard giving me issues (Sabertooth P67) and replaced it with a nice new MSI board. Somehow the issue still persists. What else could it be?

Core i5 2500K Stock
H100i
MSI Z68 board
2 x Sapphire 7970s
Cooler Master Silent Pro 850W
16GB Corsair DDR3
Boot Drive is a Crucial M4 128GB

Just a sudden shutdown? no warning like "windows is shutting down?" probably your PSU then

looks like the psu to me. coolermaster is pretty notorious for crappy psus...

I should mention it doesn't POST, it just started up, now video, and then shuts down. Then it starts up, no video, shuts down, etc....

try to clr_cmos first, but yeah... sounds like a dead psu. that or a dead motherboard... or dead cpu... or a dead gpu... but when i look at your parts list the one glaring weak point is the psu. try another psu and see if you'll post.

if that doesn't work, pull the gpu out of the system and see if it will post with the onboard graphics, then try it without the ram one stick at a time... those are the major tests to try.

Alright, can you recommend a decently priced PSU that will hold up for me?

that psu should be good. corsair has awesome customer service and great warrantys so you're protected in a lot of ways working with them.
