[SOLVED] PC starts weird.

When i turn on my pc it starts up like normal, but a second after i press the bottom it shutsdown like someone pulled the plug and after a second it start up again, and everything is like normal?

The power button can be set to do different things.
You can set these things if you right click on Windows Start/Power Options.
Normally (at least in my world)....it's set to shut down the PC normally.
If you hold it in.....it will cut power (like you are describing).
So if you are holding it in.....it's normal.
If you are just pushing it....I don't think it's normal.

Well....I doubt you will hurt anything unless the drive is writing at the time you press it.
Either....
I just wouldn't press it.
Or....I might try to change the function of the power button as I described above.
You can try and changing it to "sleep" or "hibernate" etc....and see what happens.....or you can just leave it alone.

sounds like the bios is having a hiccup, maybe ram is stopping it booting normally and bios is booting in default mode, have you any changed settings in bios like xmp or something else?

i have the ram set to 3200 MHz. but when checking in task manager, the ram is running 3200 MHz

is RAM set with xmp or manually, try a lower Mhz level and see if it will boot first try without the pause.

My ram is set manually, so it could be that.

I would set RAM back to default and see if the problem is fixed, then start in xmp mode and see how you go....
