PC startup issue

My PC build won't power on at all. I've tested the power supply on a different computer and it works just fine. I feel it may be a motherboard issue, but I just got it as a replacement one from msi. Motherboard shows no lights or signals whatsoever

Solution

I got my new motherboard and 2 things happened:
1: I found that my loaner CPU still doesnt work.
2: it works perfectly with my ryzen cpu and it's bios is compatible with it

I'm doing a ryzen 3 2200g build and i am trying to update the motherboards bios. I haven't put it in a case yet but when I tried shorting the pins to jumpstart it, nothing happens

1. Is your motherboard Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready?
2. Have you cleared the CMOS?
3. Have you tried booting with just 1 stick of RAM?

1. No, I'm using amd's boot kit to update the bios.
2. How? I did try taking out the cmos battery and put it back in if that's what you mean
3. I tried with 2, but I also tried with none just to see if I can get ANYTHING to turn on

Can I test it without putting in the processor? I don't want to have to put everything in and apply the thermal paste only to find it potentially not working

You can use the boot kit processor.

Bent pins where? I did test it on a different computer so I guess its not dead

Check for bent pins on the CPU?

Are you using a video card?

Motherboard - the motherboard is a replacement you just received from MSI so it should O.K.
PSU - the power supply work fine on a different computer so that is not the problem.
CPU - you have the same problem with 2 different CPU's so that's not the problem.
RAM - any issue with RAN would not prevent the motherboard from lighting up.
Case - the motherboard is not inside the case so that is not the problem.

I'm using a Ryzen APU

I can't think of anything else to check. I suggest you contact MSI Customer Support again.
