PC stays on for about 2 min after shutdown

I have windows 10 I've done memory test, error checking, all hardware functioning fine have not added anything, or downloaded, updates are current, but for the past two days I'll shut down or put the PC in sleep it will say shutting down screen turns off, however fans, the hd and the network stay active for about 2 min then turn off I haven't seen anything in event viewer that stands out, I've tried safe mode same effect, starts right ups though and works amazing just won't turn off with out hanging

it will tell you if its one of your start up prograsms that is causing the slow shut down.

It is all related to fast startup. Win 10 saves all the programs currently loaded into either the hdd or ram and puts pc in hybrid hibernate, so when you start again it takes less time to load everything as its already running half of it.

you could check your hard drives out and see if they behaving as that would be only thing slowing down shutdown otherwise.

I'll recheck drives the only ones it could be would be my ssd or game drive, should I also turn off fast boot?

if it was working fine and then you installed something, try doing clean boot as I suggested, it might just be a program

You fixed it turned off fast start and it shuts down properly
