Hello all,

Is my existing build still ok for adding a 1080ti or do i need upgrades?

I7 4790k chip
Maximus VII hero motherboard
16gb ram

I will play fallout4 and skyrim, etc on a 4k 32" monitor with gsync

Thanks for the feedback

Your system is absolutely fine for the 1080ti. The 4790K still trades blows with the non K i7 skylake/kaby lake chips and is only 5-10% slower than the 7700k and that too at a heavly CPU bound 1080P resolution. You'll be absolutely fine at 4K considering the 1080ti will itself struggle to hit 60 fps in quite a few AAA titles.
