Hi,
So I were trying to delete the GRUB files from the EFI boot partition by following this guide after deleting my Ubuntu partition: http://linuxbsdos.com/2015/09/05/how-to-delete-grub-files-from-a-boot-efi-partition-in-windows-10/
However now my PC won't move past the motherboard splash screen and i am unable to enter the UEFI boot settings.

Solution
You may try disconnect all the HDD/SSD to boot the PC to see it can boot or not, if it can boot you will get no boot device error. Otherwise it maybe something wrong.
You may delete the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) too during deleting the Ubuntu partition. If you have the win10 in disc/usb, try to repair the win10. How to ( it is for win7 but it is similar with win10) http://www.pcgamer.com/how-to-repair-a-faulty-windows-installation-without-reformatting/
And if you can't have luck on that, you will have to reinstall the win10 if you don't have the system image backup.

Still no luck im afraid. Tried both without and with removing the battery.
Still stuck at the motherboard flash screen and still can't enter the UEFI bios settings.

have you got the latest bios? Flashing the bios should get you into the bios, as much like the cmos, it should need you to confirm settings after the fact

Yes, try that by the USB BIOS Flashback. Youtube for how to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVvHwq3syqI
All you do: download the BIOS into the USB, renamed the BIOS file ( may using the utility software), take out all the components, that means not cpu, RAM, HDD, etc. only connect the 24pin + 8pin power cables. update the BIOS.

After that, if you can go into the BIOS, set the boot order, and try again the window repair method.

The BIOS renamer utility is no longer available for download on their site as far as i could tell. Would renaming it manually do the trick?

It should work if you rename it manually. surprised they even had a tool to do that.

as for hdd, if you can get past the motherboard screen, then I am not sure what next problem is?
