PC stuck in a reset loop, "resocketing" the RAM temporally solve the problem.

I have build this PC about 2 months ago.

Everything working fine in general, except a particular issue that happened 3 times already.

What happen is I try to boot one day and it just reset after 2 second (right at the end of the motherboard boot screen). It automatically repeat that until I shutdown the computer.

I've checked on the web, seems it was probably RAM related. First time, I just took the RAM out of the sockets and put them back again in same socket. Everything worked fine after.

Then like 3 weeks after, had the same problem. Took the RAM out of their socket and put them in the other pair of socket. Everything fine after.

And then, today, same problem. I removed the RAM from the socket and put it back in the same sockets. Still the same problem. I them removed them again and put the RAM in the other pair of socket (the same that it was in to begin with.) Now it work fine.

I have ran a lot of Memtest to check for the RAM, never found any error. (3 times full night).

So now I'm getting more worried that my Motherboard is probably the issue. Does this make sense ?

Also, my build :

CPU : Intel 6500 Skylake CPU
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-H170M-D3H
RAM : Crucial DDR4 2x4GB 2133
GPU : Gigabyte GV-R938G1 GAMING-4GD
PSU : Seasonic M12II-520 EVO (Read somewhere it could be power related, but I don't think so since Seasonic seems to be a very reliable brand for PSU from what i've read, and the fact that the computer work really well even under heavy load (when gaming). It's 520W but everywhere i've checked it seems it was more than enough for my particular build, even with an AMD GPU)

Before you freak out, try removing and reinstalling ALL of your components.

Make sure to take extra care with each step:

-Avoid adjusting the screws on the motherboard too tight
-Make sure that every plug (24 pin, 8 pin, etc.) coming from the power supply is plugged in firmly
-Take extra care when installing the RAM, you want to hear 2 distinct clicks when pressing them into the sockets, even after you hear the clicks, give them a little bit of an extra push (not too much, just a little)

After everything is re-seated, give it another try to see if you are having continued problems.

Thank you for the answer.

However, I don't remember "when" in this sequence of events I did this, but I remember doing it at some point (disconnecting and replugging everything : RAM, graphic card, power supply wires, fans, Case connections, etc. (the only thing I didn't touch is CPU and heatsink))

I'm fairly certain it's not a connection issue.

Also, about RAM, actually on my motherboard there is clips on only one side of the socket (probably to save space) and I checked each time that the ram was firmly inserted into the socket, even on the side where there is no clip). Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't think this is the issue.

I haven't tried another motherboard.

However for now I tried deactivating C6/C7 CPU power state in BIOS, since it seems my PSU isn't explicitely "Haswell Ready". haven't had a prob in two days. I ll see how it goes.
