PC stuck "updating?"

I turned my computer on about 20-30 mins ago and it started "updating". After it installed some updates, restarted the pc 1-2 times, it took me to here https://youtu.be/MUSTPDMfbL0

How can I get out of this strange glitch? The mouse is also operatable

I just built this PC a month ago. That probably isn't the problem since I'm using a WD blue drive 7200 rpm just shy of 2 months old. This hasn't happened before with any other computers of mine in the past.

It's still a slow HDD. (all HDD's are slow)

there's not much else you can do at this point.

it sure isnt your hdd.never had a problem with long update times with windows10.in fact i really dont notice when it does,and im running pretty old hardware.but let it ride and see what happens.

I don't think the HDD is the problem, they're slower than SSD's but they're not THAT slow. Looks like a lot of people are having that issue with Windows 10. Can you boot into Safe Mode?

I waited for about another hour and when I turned on the monitor again it was normal I could log into my account and I'm typing this on my computer. Like you said HDD's are definitely slower but they aren't that much slower that Windows would take an hour or two to do the updates. But everything is normal now and it's all good.

I'm running relatively recent hardware. An Asrock Z97 anniversary board, a WD Caviar blue 7200 rpm drive, pentium g3258, and some decent cooling. I've never had a problem with any version of Windows up until now but I let it ride for a bit (an hour or so) and it brought me to the login screen so that was a bit weird.
