Question PC stuttering/FPS drops terribly in all programs and tasks on Windows 10

Hello Friends

I've been experiencing major stuttering and FPS drops in the past week. When typing text, there will be periods where it takes 3-4 seconds before it shows up on the screen. Switching tabs, watching video, opening the Start menu etc - all show random lag.

Specs
OS: Windows 10 Insider Build
CPU: Ryzen 1600 6-core 12 threads
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR4 2667mgz
What I've tried so far

1. Ran a malware scan with malware bytes
2. Downgraded the latest nvidia drivers to the previous version, as the issues occured about the time I updated my nvidia drivers. Downgrading did not fix the issue (I ran DDU and clean installed the drivers). My other drivers are updated
3. I checked task manager - no programs or services so excessive CPU usage, and I have around 2GB of RAM free.
4. I checked Latency Monitor, and I'm not really experiencing any DPC latency issues.

Have you looked at disk usage?

Also, Windows Insider builds can be unstable. Are you sure it's not that? Can you roll back the build or restore, or even try the standard version?
