Hey guys a couple days ago I downloaded divinity original sin 2 and was playing great for about 2 days. When I logged in on the 3rd day, I noticed incredibly long loading times and massive stuttering in game. I thought today that maybe its just that game, however, ALL my games do it where the loading screen takes very long to load followed by massive spikes in FPS (talking from 1-40 to 40-144 to 13 etc.). I did a gpu benchmark with fur mark and GPU seems to have 0 issues there. I noticed a strange whine coming from my HDD and whenever I am playing any game, the disk usage shoots to 100%. My browser is starting to get a little slower as well only when opening it. DIsk usage goes back down to normal outside of gaming. I think its the hdd going bad but I did a disk check and its telling me that its healthy, yet it shoots to 100% during games. Furthermore, when opening up certain programs like steam, the UI can be black for a period of time before it loads the stores images. Any ideas?

Hey guys so I found the problem to this. It turns out my 8gb ram (2x4gb ram sticks) were only running with one stick. I don't know how the heck it happened but I reseated the ram and it read the 8gb ram again. Turns out the memory was leaking over to the HDD which caused the HDD to give me slow performance compensating for lack of ram which in turn gave me really long loading times and stuttering while gaming. Hopefully this helps someone out!
