[SOLVED] PC suddenly black screening/shutting down instantly

Hey, recently my PC has been instantly going black and shutting down, on both occasions while playing Valorant. The first instance was the other day when it instantly shutdown randomly, and a second time today where I was freezing for 3-5s periodically in game, then it eventually just went black and restarted itself. Where should I look to find the issue? How can I tell if my psu has started to fail? Thanks in advance

2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz
Corsair CX500M PSU
GTX 1070

Anything else you need?

Have you tried another PSU?

I don't have another PSU to try, is there any way to check if it is failing? Any obvious issues?

No clues were found in event viewer either. Just listed as "Windows was not properly shut down".

I believe you can see if the game in task manager is using a "High Wattage"
if that seems to be ok
your 1070 might be biting the dust

I should be OK with wattage, as I've had this spec PC for years with no power issues. And temps are not an issue, my CPU rarely goes over 60c

if all of that is good you power supply is probably the issue here
