Hello, today I woke up and my Pc didn´t work any more altrough yesterday it worked perfectly. By opening the PC I saw that by turning it on the GPU fan worked on 100% but the GPU didn´t have any output. Using the CPU-integrated GPU I saw that my GPU wasn´t even regognised by the PC. By putting the GPU in another PC I had the confirm that the GPU still worked, so the problem probably is the mainboard. PC properties: CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Motherboard: Packard Bell EG43M (Socket 775 LGA) RAM: 6 GB 533Mhz GPU: Geforce GT 220 -Thank you for your help!-

Solution
Hi,
Before you start buying parts you should remove the drivers for the old GPU using a utily like DDU/AMD Cleanup.
Boot to safe mode and run the tool.
Once it is done, shutdown.
Remove power cord.
Install the GPU again.
Boot back into Safe Mode.
Install the latest driver from the AMD/NVIDIA website.

See how that works out.
