Question PC suddenly goes idle and CPU fans go on full blast?

I've had this happen twice this weekend, and I'm forced to reset my PC as it's just idle. I wasn't actually using it either time either - anybody know what it might be? All of a sudden the fans are on full, and it's not hot in my room and my components are well ventilated

Motherboard shows post code is 66.

It's never happened before now. One thing is that my power supply is 10 years old next month - could that be the problem?

I have an Aorus Z370 Gaming 7 motherboard
i7 8700k
Corsair H150i
1070ti
Corsair Vengeance LPX16GB
Corsair 850AX
Asus ROG Strix Helios case

even if your power supply isnt the problem i suggest getting a new one.

it also might be a bad code, meaning the code is written wrong, for that i suggest reinstalling windows or reseting your bios my removing the cmos battery for 2-5 minutes.
