Question PC suddenly having trouble booting

So I woke up today to my PC having a bit of a hiccup. At first, it was booting up for 1-2 seconds and then shutting down right away. There was an orange light on the mobo (ASUS TUF mobo, unsure of exact model rn), so I searched around a bit and then tried reseating the ram. Still wouldn’t boot. I then unplugged all USB connections and that got me all the way to the sign-on screen, but no further than that. I put on new thermal paste, no difference. Anyone have any tips for what to troubleshoot next or what it might be? Thanks.

Edit: Not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but it’s back to normal now.

I7-6700K, asus TUF x299 mark 1, either a GTX 1070 or 1080 not sure, 16gb (4 sticks) of adata ram (unsure of exact model), corshair CX600 PSU

Have you checked the motherboard user guide to find out what the orange light signifies?
