[SOLVED] PC suddenly overheating all the time under pretty much ANY load

OK. Weather is hot here at the moment but not that bad.

PC was fine before but since yesterday its overheating under the slightest load. Fans seems to be all running OK.

Surely the heatsink can't just stop working? Ideas?

It can't stop working but can be detached a bit or paste may be bad.

Check to see if one of the corners of the mount is loose. Sometimes these are plastic and can break which causes this type of symptom.
