My pc was working great, no problems. I played one game in the afternoon everything was as expected. Came back a few hours later. Browsed the net (ran virus scan with malwarebytes and Microsoft security essentials and nothing came up). Went to play GTA5 and noticed a slowdown. If there is something I couldn't detect it with those two programs and I don't know much about any other kind of antivirus really or how that works.

I checked the temps and everything else I saw suggested in other threads. I am really not sure what caused this. I noticed there was some critical update on windows update for the 27th when this happened, I'm not sure if that's related. This is my setup, other than the video card I changed last summer which I never had a problem with, all these from speccy looks the same as it did in a shot from 2013. If anyone can help please respond.

computer slow down can be caused by numerous things. Check your RAM with memtest86. Also check your HDD for smart errors with either brand manufacturer tools or a linux live cd.If you can't find how to do it with linux live cd i can help you.
Do those and come back with the results!

I did these tests in a screenshot you can see, but I have no idea how to get memtest to run with this asus motherboard. I'm doing it from USB and It goes into ezmode (f8) but I don't know what to select. Can anyone help me?

Here's the other tests (see screenshot) and I'll do the 3d mark one next after this memtest I can't figure out. Is there some file you can look at my system to see if there might be something running that shouldn't be? I ran the two virus scans malewarebytes and the Microsoft security essentials. both found nothing. The issue seemed to happen maybe have some sort of flash update or something with firefox today. It's telling me it'd disabled now but my computer is running slow. I could go into gta finally and it played okay but my desktop and like the loading screens for social club in gta and the icons in steam are not loading fast.

First set of tests-

3d Mark Test - I finally got it to work I was running the 4k one by accident. I ran the correct test and Here's the link - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12762353

I could run the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool and it came back 100% fine no errors.

Could iTunes be running something? Also I noticed this MsSpellCheckingFacility I never remembered seeing that before. I'm not sure.

It also feels like not only is the pc running slow at times but the internet itself. Hopefully this info is helpful. It is difficult to tell what is going on. I tried GTA Online again and it works but there is some slowdowns when I start the game (or any game) then signing into social club and when I first log in with the character and move, but then I can drive top speed and blow up things and there's no problems. Yet still on my desktop some things are acting slow. Also windows live mail

Edit: I disabled some razer synapse related processes and I see some improvement. I'm not sure if I fixed it as I am not familiar with performance issues with these. I'm not sure if the problem is entirely gone but that did help a bit.

It's been 10 hours since this last post. Some stuff is faster. Booting up is still slow and should both realtek hd manager and soundblaster be running at the same time when booting up?
