I have had this desktop PC for around one and a half years. Until about a month ago, it was as fast as the day I bought it. (I have an SSD with this PC, if that helps at all). I tend to mess around with BIOS a lot, but nothing normally happens. About a month ago, i noticed the option to change the amount of cores i have active. I changed it down to one core, just for kicks and giggles, and laughed at how utterly slow my PC became with only one core active. After i had enough, I switched it back to four. My PC instantly became faster, but not as fast as it used to be before that. I've been waiting a month, trying some fixes. I restored my PC to factory defaults, and my BIOS, but to no avail.

Does anyone know how i might fix this?
