Hello,

Yesterday I was using my PC as normal, browsing the web, when it all of a sudden turned off.

It then turned on again, reached the POST screen, and turned off. It now continues this on/off loop but only rarely reaching the POST screen.

I've been reading your forums and followed the steps in this post: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

But the problem still persisted so I tried disconnecting the fan and DVD drive in case it was a power issue.

The problem persisted so I tried taking out the motherboard battery, waiting an hour, then starting the PC.

Again the problem still persisted so I put the battery back in and tried resetting the CMOS but, you guessed it, the problem still persisted.

Through every attempt I've made to try and fix it myself I have only used 1 stick of RAM in the manufacturers recommended slot, I have had no BIOS beeps, and I have never got past the POST screen.

I'm running Windows 7 and my specs are:

Intel i7 4790
Asus H81-Gamer
Asus Nvidia GTX 770
2 x 4GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
2 x 1TB HDDs
ODD
Powercool 650W

Solution
Maybe the powercool 650W does not have enough power for the gtx770, because the gtx770 requires 600w with 42 Amp on the +12 rails. And you did not post the exactly model for the PSU so I can't check it out.
