PC switching off after windows loads

I have a strange problem that has seemed to occur out of no where. After I boot up my PC and windows loads, the desktop and all my icons will show and it will be up for approx 1min then it will completely cut off, as if I had cut power. This doesn't happen if I start opening programs and actually using my computer. It also doesn't happen after rebooting.

This problem has come from no where as I have made no hardware or software changes recently to cause this issue. I keep my drivers updated as best as I can and have tried to troubleshoot as best as I can, these include:

Changing the RAM around slots.
Checking all hardware is properly plugged in.
Virus checking.
Resetting the BIOS.
Unplugging one of my GPU's.

I don't think it's the power supply as it doesn't cut out if I start using my pc straight away, the issue is only after boot.

The Event Viewer onlys says:
Level: Critical
Source: Kernal-Power
Event ID: 41
Task Category: (63)

My Rig:

Operating System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU:
AMD FX-9590
RAM:
x2 Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz
x2 Cosair Vengeance LP 8GB 1600MHz
Motherboard:
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. 970A-UD3P
Graphics:
4095MB GIGABYTE OC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Storage:
120GB KINGSTON SHFS37A120G ATA Device (SSD)
250GB Seagate ST250DM000-1BC141 ATA Device (SATA)
250GB ExcelStor Technology J92 SATA Disk Device (SATA)
750GB Western Digital WDC WD75 00AAKS-00RBA0 SATA Disk Device (SATA)

I hope someone can help me fix this issue because no amount of searching has helped me thus far.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Looking at the fact that the 9590 is a 220W processor, and it works at higher workloads, I'd say the processor isn't getting enough power right away. My suspicions are:

A) Motherboard isn't on any 9590 compatibility list I saw, so it's power delivery may be wearing out prematurely.
B) The PSU is starting to go.

I most suspect A, since the PSU seems to supply higher power delivery just fine.

I forgot to include my PSU which is a Corsair CX750M.
Thanks for your response, i'll look into it, I just think it's weird that I have had this rig for a while now without this problem occuring :l

It's one of those "happens over time" things, but see if you can find a cheap or free way to test it. Please note: I only mentioned two possibilities, there could be something I'm not thinking of.

I've played around with the BIOS and it doesn't seem to shut off after startup, but now instead does it when i'm using my computer, so using Chrome and opening other programs. I really don't understand what can cause this, perhaps a surge of power?

You mentioned about testing it, do you know of any ways I could do this?

Interesting, you could try replacing the CMOS battery (discharging the motherboard while it's out) to see if that fixes it. A bad battery can cause some funny things in the BIOS.

If that doesn't work, here are several testing methods:

1) Easiest way to test something is to have a PC repair shop do it, since they probably already have the equipment necessary.
2) Swapping parts (borrowing or buying) is the easiest but more expensive way to test it (unless you borrow the good part) if you don't get it right the first time.
3) You can also buy a "power supply tester" and use that if you want to see just how healthy your PSU is; if it's dying, you probably found the issue.

Ahhhhh okay, i'll definitely try these methods and see if I get any results. It's hard to try and reproduce the crash as now it seems to be more random than being after every start up. I just booted up and used chrome etc, my case fans boosted to max, and then I opened task manager in case something was eating my RAM usage and everything locked up then shutdown. :L

--Funnily enough, after writing this post, my fans went to max again and then my PC froze then shut off again. Part of me is thinking this is now a heat issue (Although I have lots of cooling).

In SpeedFan my Temp2 was quite high and seems to fluctuate from about 28 to 56c. Not sure if this is the Northbridge.

I don't think it's a heat issue (unless the CPU fan or waterpump was dying) since a CPU that overheats will shut off and any attempt to turn it on without letting it cool down will cause it to immediately shut down again.

From what I can tell, the temperature reading by the AMD FX line is a mess (they did things backwards) that makes most readings below a threshold of (arguably) 35C too inaccurate to take seriously. Temperature readings get more accurate the closer the CPU gets to its maximum safe limit.

Though the motherboard socket itself may have a more accurate read on things (depends on the motherboard).
