so, a friend of mine brought his pc and he wanted me to make his pc play games like league of legeds and maybe bioshock infinite(lol)
mobo:i945gm-pilf (Aopen)
cpu: intel pentium 4 3ghz (with hyperthreading)
psu:Aopen 400w (max 375)
my question here is.What can i do with this pc to improve its gaming performance and maybe add a 430 (also i need low profile gfx) or will the psu not allow the system to run the 430.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

so,tell me what is the best gfx i can put on that board,he is a student and cant afford much. i ve searched the net and i found that the best gfx with the minimum bottlenecking with that cpu is a gt 440.

He can't put much in it because it probably has a crappy, no-brand power supply, which will give up the ghost if too much power is drawn from it. Or is it a home-built PC with a top-notch PSU in it?

As for recommendations, you'd most likely have to get a low-power-draw older card. I'm not a graphics expert so I'll have to defer to others with more expertise.

It looks like you've done more research than I regarding an appropriate card. I would go with what you've found, unless someone with more expertise chimes in. However, check out the recommended PSU for that GT 440 and make sure his PSU provides at least that much, and preferably more, unless it's a good brand-name power supply unit.
