PC takes hours to boot up

Hi there, my pc is taking hours to boot after the BIOS logo, what should I do about this? My other components works fine I think, the cpu and graphics card fans are working fine, there is no problem with power supply, it just takes hours to boot. My OS is windows 7.

Sounds like your hard drive is dying

Yeah agree. I've seen PC PC's take 10+ minutes to boot because of a bad HDD. If you can still get to windows, try running crystal disk info to get a S.M.A.R.T. reading

Clean your hard disk using safe mode, try to use security software like deep freeze that will help you to protect your system.
