Hi all,

I've built a new PC and although it has NVMe SSD 960 PRO which means the boot should be super fast, it takes my PC too long to even start booting (the display to turn on).
Here is some videos of the boot (starting from 0:07):

Video of the motherboard's POST codes:

If you notice it takes ~20 seconds for the boot to even start (display to turn on) and then it takes another 14 seconds to start windows, in total it takes 34 seconds boot although the OS & PC are new with installed on SSD NVMe!!
I don't think this is normal at all, I used to have normal SSD and used to boot much faster.

The display turns on when post code is 99, and windows starts when post code is 40.

Here is details about the build:
Windows 10 Pro 64X

Processor: Intel Core i9 7900X 3.3Ghz 13.75MB L3 Cache s2066
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX X299-E Gaming LGA2066
Storage: Samsung 960 PRO M.2 MZ-V6P512BW 512GB SSD
Storage II: Western Digital Caviar Blue 2TB 64MB Sata III
Graphic Card: Asus GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB
RAM: HyperX Predator 2x16GB DDR4 2400Mhz CL12 Kit

Power Supply: SeaSonic PRIME ULTRA GOLD 750W
RGB Cooling:
Corsair Hydro H150i PRO RGB 360mm
Corsair ML120 RGB LED 120MM

Case: Corsair Crystal 570X RGB

BIOS Version: 2.17.1246

I'd really appreciate it if you could help to make my PC boot much faster.
Thanks,
Fadi

Windows is installed on your NVME M.2 SSD, correct? It's not on a different storage device?

As @SgtScream suggested, remove all your USB devices and time how long it takes for you to boot.

The only USB device is a wireless Keyboard/Mouse, tried to unplug them and didn't help.

off course

Seems that most of the time is spent before windows even tries to load.

Look for devices that you are not using.
It takes time in the bios to initialize them or to discover that they do not exist.
A secondary sata controller for example.
In the bios, are you checking ram? You want to turn that option off.

Run memtest86 which does not use windows and should start instantly.
First to check your ram.
Second to see how long it takes to start.
If ram does not initialize easily at 2400 speed(unusual) the motherboard will take time to find a setting that works.

I do not see BIOS Version: 2.17.1246 on the bios list for your motherboard.

What does CPU-Z say?

I do not see any updates that seem to address your issue.
Normally, one does not update a bios on just speculation.

CPU-Z says Bios version is 0702
