Hi,

So I turned on my PC about 30 minutes ago, and I left it on the home screen. When I started it up, the PC's temp was 22-25C. I just came back to the PC, and its temps are 35-43C. Is this normal? It was in idle, just on the Windows 10 screen (when you enter in password).

Specs:

i5-6500
MSI Z170A Gaming M5
MSI Geforce GTX 980 4G
16GB DDR4-2133
120 SSD/ 2TB HDD
3 case fans
600W EVGA PSU

All replies are appreciated.

It depends on which settings you have enabled/disabled in bios, but as a general rule of thumb, idling 10-15C above ambient temperature is perfectly normal.

Hi,

my room temperature is 23C. As I logged onto my PC, my temps lowered a bit. Thanks for that :)
