Question PC Thunderbolt to Display HDMI Problems

Hello to all,

This pretty convoluted so I will try to keep it short and to the point.

My new built PC is not allowing me to display through on board thunderbolt ports to HDMI.

On my desk I have a 2 Samsung 32 Inch 4k monitors, Corsair TBT200 Hub, 16 inch M2 Max MacBook Pro and a custom built PC specs as follows:

Rog Strix Z690 I Gaming Wifi, Gigabyte 4070TI, 13700K, 2x32GB DDR5, M2 SSDs, Coolers etc

Plugged into the hub I have the two monitors via thunderbolt to HDMI cables, external backup hard drive, webcam, 2.5GB ethernet. Its a really smooth set up for just plugging in one cable and having total connectivity for the MacBook which just sits there lid closed in a tidy little holder. My thought process was that as the new PC has 2 thunderbolt ports at the back of the motherboard I could simply unplug the 1 cord from the Mac and Plug it into the PC and receive all the same connectivity and monitors.

Everything except the monitors is working when plugged into the PC. Webcam works, dock is visible in windows under connected devices, ethernet is providing connection, external SSD showing, but the displays are showing no signal.

I have tried all the trouble shooting tips I can find, I have enabled tunneling in BIOS I have tried switching the cords (but didn't expect to be this as they work fine when the mac is connected). I have updated all windows and hardware drivers. Downloaded the Thunderbolt control center - shows the hub active.

The only thing I can think is that is something to do with the CPU not having discreet graphics? Does anyone know if this is why? If so any idea what can be done about it?

Thank you so much in advance - really hoping to find a fix that doesn't require a second set of cables being plugged and unplugged every time I switch machines. I switch regularly, it's a workstation, no gaming.

PS> I am a total novice in PC building so please feel free to dumb it down for me if I have misunderstood something obvious.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What BIOS version are you currently on for your motherboard? I would try and manually reinstall the latest chipset drivers for your PC, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

As for your PC, how are you able to see your desktop's GUI if you can't get display?

The Intel i7-13700K comes with an iGPU. The F SKU's don't have an iGPU in them.
SOLVED. Lutfij, thank you, you certainly set me on the right track. I did two things since my last reply, not sure which one it was that fixed the issue but they are now working through the TB dock, meaning I can just plug one cable in to receive full connectivity.

1. I enabled iGPU multimonitor in BIOS

2. I installed the Intel Management Engine...

Hi Lutfij,

Thanks for your reply and for the welcome.

I followed your steps and on all drivers I got the message = windows has determined the latest drivers for your device are already installed. Except one: Other devices: Raid controller, this has a warning sign next to it and says windows cannot find driver for this device. I am not sure what it is to find it manually.

Bios I updated while building using USB flash downloaded directly from Asus. Might be important {not sure} to note I could not get the build to boot before I did this flash using a usb and the little button on the back.

Currently I am using the PC with a HDMI to HDMI plugged into the GPU. Everything works fine just I cannot get the 2 monitor displays to go through the hub plugged into the MB.

I just tried plugging the HDMI into the MB and this doesn't work either, no signal. So seems like no displays are working directly from the MB.
