I have a few questions regarding my PC and connecting it to an old analog TV.

Just to verify, does this work for the image? GTX 970 -> DVI-I cable -> TV (analog). Would a simple aux cable work for the audio? Is there some issue with the PC outputting a digital signal and the TV not being able to handle it?

My DVI-D port is already occupied for a 144hz monitor. Why wouldn't DVI-I work? I'm quoting this from NVIDIAs site.

"A DVI-D connector on a graphics card sends out a digital signal only, while a DVI-I connector can send out a digital signal (for digital displays such as flat panel LCD monitors) as well as analog signal (for older displays such as a CRT monitor)..."

scout_03 I don't think I quite understood what you meant by "you will need audio cable for tv unless you have speaker system on the computer .". Is the aux cable I mentioned earlier this audio cable you talked about?
