PC to Receiver to TV via HDMI not working

I purchased a vizio m55-d0 tv. I am running my HP Pavilion 510-p030 Desktop via HDMI to my Pioneer VSX-1019AH receiver and then from my receiver to the TV, and I am not getting a signal on the TV.

If I run the HDMI line from the PC directly to the TV, it works. My cable box running HDMI to the receiver and then to the TV through the same ports works fine. I have tried a variety of HDMI cables and ports and get the same results. Running my PC to my receiver to my old TV also worked fine. I tried running the PC to the receiver to another monitor I have and it also is not working now.

Suggestions on what else could be wrong would be tremendously appreciated.

Earlier HDMI switchers were finicky. How old is this Pioneer? Supports at least HDMI 1.4? Firmware update for the Pioneer?

It is from 2009. I've been trying to find if it was 1.4 or not and the specs don't seem to specify the version, though I've seen some forum posts asking about an upgrade, so I am guessing it is 1.3. While looking for it I can across the manual that suggests troubleshooting steps of connecting the via component from the source (the PC) to the receiver and then running hdmi from there. Think that's my best option? Assuming it is pre 1.4, is there anything else I can do to make compatible?. I haven't found a good way to upgrade the firmware, but will keep researching.

Try having all the components switched on BEFORE turning on the Pioneer is all I can suggest.
