PC to TV 120Hz Connection

Hello all,
I have recently decided to try to improve the frame rate from the standard 60 HZ to a 120 HZ display. My situation is this:
I have a graphics card capable of 120 HZ (NVidia 770)
My TV can handle 120 HZ (it is an LG 3D TV @ 1920x1080)
The TV only has HDMI and USB connections.
My question is this: I know that HDMI tops out at 60 HZ. My graphics card has ports for both dual-link dvi and displayport. Any way to do this? I saw that there is a dual-link dvi to hdmi cable, but I am not sure if it supports 120 HZ.

Can you TV handle a 120hz input though, or does it show 120hz, like 60hz doubled for 3d or a standard 30hz signal smoothed out to 120hz.

There is a big different in what a TV shows and what it takes as input and most TV's fall into the first and will show a higher frame rate, but not accept one. It's marketing.

What model # is your TV, although I'm betting it's an interpolated 120hz. Most TV's don't have inputs that allow 120hz. Displayport and dual link DVI are monitor things, not TV. TV's top out at 60hz, almost guarentee it.

Unless it is a VERY recent model, it's almost certainly not capable of 120hz through HDMI. It would have to support HDMI 2.0 to work, and you'd have to have a GTX 970 or 980 to use it, so it wouldn't matter even if it did.

120hz through in 3D (60hz per eye), is also possible with HDMI 1.4b, which is also quite rare.

Ok so after further study (I went to LG's website and downloaded the manuals for the TV) I found out that the TV is not 120 HZ. You were right @getochkn (robot chicken lol). It is something called TrueMotion 120 HZ which means that it runs at 60 HZ, but adds an extra image in between the frames. Unbelievable. I bought this TV last year, and it is awesome don't get me wrong, but this is a let-down. Thanks for the help guys but I am afraid that I must start shopping for a good computer monitor now.
