PC to TV via HDMI: Works in Linux but not Windows...

I have a 4K TV that I'd like to play games on. Right now I just have a regular 1.3 HDMI, so I am just setting it up to play 1080p resolution.

Using `arandr` in Linux, I can get the TV to show the PC display with **no issues at all**. However in Windows the TV just says "No signal, is the computer on?"

I'm aware that the resolution has to match on the monitor and TV, so I've set them both to 1080. I've also made the scaling both 100% (the TV defaults to 150%). HDR is off.

What is going on here? Is Windows setting some invisible settings that are preventing things from working?

Tried other ports ? The RX 580 has one HDMI port IIRC, but the TV should have 2 at least. Maybe try lowering the bit depth to 10 if thats possible.

I have a RX 470 myself, havent had any problems with TVs. I even used it with a TV for a year
